US companies can be required to disclose customer and communication data (such as video, audio, chats) to US authorities due to various legal provisions in the United States (Patriot Act, CLOUD Act, FISA), even if doing so violates EU law (GDPR, German Data Protection Act (BDSG)). The Patriot Act is applicable, even if the server is located in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.8\">Unlike the GDPR, these US laws are not limited to personal data: Trade secrets and other sensitive data of companies and public institutions are likewise not protected when data is transferred to the US, and can be accessed by US authorities without further judicial review, and even transferred to other third countries through the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500;line-height:1.8\">alfaview is a video conferencing provider with its corporate headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany. This basically disqualifies all US providers and their subsidiaries from being GDPR-compliant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500;line-height:1.8\">alfaview exclusively uses German data centers that are located in Germany and have their corporate headquarters in Germany. At this point, you can specify which camera, microphone, and speaker you want to use. If spectators are invited to an online meeting, they will be announced with an acoustic signal when entering the room. In addition, a red eye icon shows how many spectators are currently in the room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);line-height:1.8\">When the waiting room is activated, moderators can visit participants in the waiting room and verify their identity before granting them access to the alfaview room. Participants in the waiting room cannot see or communicate with each other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);line-height:1.8\">Personalized guest links, which can only be used by invited guests and can be scheduled at a specific time, ensure that no unauthorized persons gain access to your alfaview room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rooms and meetings can optionally be protected with a passcode. Control of approvals by administrators and moderators<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.8\">Administrators and moderators can<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);line-height:1.8\">revoke the permission of participants to use their camera and stream their video image.
