Since November 22nd, 2024, the award-winning IT company Semanux is operating under the umbrella of the alfa corporate group, owned by Karlsruhe-based technology entrepreneur Niko Fostiropoulos.
With Semanux, Niko Fostiropoulos has gained a company with extensive expertise in the fields of intelligent human-computer interaction and machine learning.

Semanux GmbH was founded as part of a research project at the University of Stuttgart’s Chair of Analytic Computing at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and was funded by an EXIST research transfer from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and the European Social Fund.
Semanux’s technologies have already been recognized with prestigious awards, including the CyberOne Award, 3rd place in the Health-i-Award of the Handelsblatt under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs and Transport and 3rd place in the KI-Garage, program of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung.
Semanux will continue to develop the product range (Semanux Access, Focus and SDK) with the same team of computer scientists and AI specialists. Furthermore, new AI-based solutions will also be developed for the entire group of companies. Semanux’s accessible control solutions will be seamlessly integrated into existing products from alfaview, alfatraining and EML Speech Technology.
